XR Youth Boise was founded in January 2020 with the intent to create a youth-focused group for Extinction Rebellion Boise which, at the time, was dominate by older folks. Drawing from intensive social networking, green clubs in schools throughout Boise, and working across the lines with other climate groups, XR Boise has become one of Idaho's most active organizations fighting for climate justice.
